This field aims to highlight, from the Chilean social context, the importance of socio-emotional skills as tools to deal with conflicts. The contemporary world demands higher respect for diversity and development of collaboration spaces, so people and their communities feel like active participants of the society. Since the Chilean social conflict that took place on October 18th, and during the COVID-19th pandemic, the inequalities in our society increased. Thus, creating an environment of polarization, political strain and social conflict.
Socio-emotional abilities are tools to protect our well-being. From its promotion, it is possible to create a respectful and constructive context, as well as developing innovative solutions to diagnosing and intervening in social problems.
